Email Viewer IE is a simple to use add-on for Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or later, that lets users open .msg and .eml files and access their embedded email file attachments.

After installing Email Viewer IE and setting it as the default for either .msg or .eml files, the user can open those files by clicking on them.

Email Viewer IE may compliment your content management system, providing users a simple way to access to .msg and .eml files or attachments.

To extract a file attachment from an email displayed in Email Viewer IE, simply right click on the attachment and choose "Save As."

Installing and Using Email Viewer IE

To install Email Viewer IE, close all programs and run the application installer package.

To use Email Viewer IE, just click on a .msg or .eml file you wish to open and it will appear in an Internet Explorer Window.

During intallation, Email Viewer IE will ask you if it should set itself as the default application for .msg and/or .eml files. If it is prevented from doing so by another application (such as anti-virus software) you will need to make this association manually.

To make the file association manually, simply right click on a .msg or .eml file, choose "Open with" and then navigate to the Email Viewer application folder. Select emailviewer.exe.

Email Viewer IE works with Internet Explorer versions 6 through 8 (please apply the latest Microsoft updates for IE). It requires Windows 7, Vista or XP.
