PstViewer Pro is a Microsoft® Windows® tool for processing Outlook® .pst and .ost files. It can batch convert email messages from the command line or a .bat file. Its powerful profile-driven command line interface can be accessed via the PSTViewerConsole.exe utility. This tool is included with every license and is located in the same file directory as PSTViewer.exe.
You can create custom profiles in PstViewer Pro that perform very precise e-mail export operations. These profiles can be called from the command line using PstViewerConsole.exe in this way:
PSTViewerConsole.exe --export <profile> <input-dir]>
In this example, lets consider exporting emails to .PDF format. To do this using PstViewerConsole.exe, we would set <profile> to be “PDF” and <input-dir> will be the folder containing the messages that we want to turn into PDF files.
Before exporting, we can adjust the PDF profile to our preferences via PSTViewer interface to perform a variety of specific functions, including which data separator to use, and which directory to export the emails to.
“C:\PSTViewerConsole.exe” --export “PDF” “C:\input_folder\”
Detailed information about configuring and using PstViewerConsole can be found in the PstViewer Pro help system.
